FAQs

How long will it take for my order to ship? How can I track my order?

Orders will ship within 1-2 business days of purchase. You will receive an email from Earthy saying your order has shipped and giving you tracking information. You can log into your Earthy account to view detailed order status. You can also email: earthyclothing@gmail.com and we will be happy to assist you.

What kind of packaging do you use for shipping my order?

We pay extra to purchase 100% recycled kraft tissue paper and 100% recycled kraft envelopes. When you purchase from our website, your organic cotton clothing won't come wrapped in any plastic. Sometimes we must use recycled poly mailers if we cannot source the kraft mailers. We do our best to make the least negative impact when it comes to our shipping supplies. When we receive product from our manufacturer we use the least plastic bags possible and we always recycle the plastic and the boxes.

What tags will come on the new clothes I purchased?

There are no tags on the back of the neck- only an iron on label stating "Earthy" and the size. On the side seam of the clothes there is an organic cotton tag stating fabric content and care instructions. Our hang tags are made from 100% recycled kraft paper. The hang tag is attached with a cotton string tied through the care label sewn into the shirt.

Does Earthy clothing have an obvious brand mark?

We do not put any branding elements anywhere on the clothing. There is only a tagless label ironed onto the neck back or waist back- which is not visible when wearing.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you would like to change or cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible after order placement. If your package has not yet been shipped, we can change or cancel your order. Please email: earthyclothing@gmail.com and we will do everything we can to assist you.

What's so great about organic cotton?

Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Because the cotton plants are grown naturally, the water sources nearby are kept pure and pollution-free. Farmers and laborers (and their families) that grow and harvest the crops are not poisoned by the toxic synthetic chemicals.  All cotton plants are certified GMO free (not genetically modified). Organic cotton is stronger and more soft because the fibers have not been damaged by harsh chemicals. Organic cotton is better for the planet and people in every way. We love Earthy's soft, stretchy organic cotton and we know you will too!

Why are Earthy clothes made in India?

At Earthy we love the tremendous social impacts we can make by supporting talented tailors in India and paying them nearly double what they would be making elsewhere. The talented people that sew Earthy clothing are so genuinely happy to have such a wonderful job, in a caring, up beat, and supportive environment. We regularly visit our small business partner manufacturer in India and spend a week or more working in the building. We see, first hand, what a positive impact high wages and a sense of belonging to a positive and progressive company can have. All the cotton used to make Earthy clothing is grown in southern India (India is the largest organic cotton producer in the world), woven into fabric in India, cut and sewn in India. Essentially, Earthy clothing is the product of many talented artisans in India coming together to give us a product we can enjoy and fully appreciate in the USA and throughout the rest of the world. And we are grateful for their talents and and all their hard work!

Are you FairTrade certified?

We are currently pursuing a FairTrade certification. We can tell you that you are supporting a group of young adults from an Indian community. Employees are paid nearly double the wages of what they would be making as a tailor elsewhere. They are paid overtime when working more than 40 hours in a week and also paid bonuses when they complete a certain amount of garments.  No child labor is ever used. All employees are over the age of 18 and are very happy to be working for such a generous company and in such a kind and happy environment.

What is the best way to care for my Earthy clothing?

Organic cotton is strong and resilient, however, repeated use of a machine dryer will have a negative impact on any clothing over time. In general, machine wash cold and hang to dry or tumble dry low. Hang drying will keep items looking the nicest for the longest amount of time.
